2013-8-24 Rafting Trip highlights by Tian Wong and Connie Wong

On Aug 24-25, Troop 92 water rafted down a section of the American River in 2 large inflatable blue boats.

The troop had water fights between the Dragon and Lightning Boats. In fact, we had water fights with many boats that welcomed a friendly fight.
During lunching at a small cove, we help some people with their overturned wooden canoe boat.
Later, we stopped at a swim hole near some rock islands for diving, swimming, and a group picture.
There were a couple of rapids which were fun to go over; but it was mostly drifting down calm, lazy waters, not much white water.  Sometimes, we even drifted to the shallow channels so people had to get out and push the boat.  However, everyone still had a blast of fun in water and sun.  What a great way to end the Summer!  Overall I would enjoy another rafting trip sometime in the near future with the troop.
