BSA Troop 92 SVMBC, Milpitas

Troop 92 is the oldest Boy Scout Troop in Milpitas, serving the community since 1957. The scouts are led by a group of strong, experienced, and dedicated leaders. Our current Scoutmaster and some assistant Scoutmasters are Eagle Scouts.  We are chartered by Mt. Olive church who provides plenty of room and a remarkable Chaplain. The scouts meet every Monday night to carry out their training and patrol activities. We have at least one outing per month where scouts get the chance to go camping, hiking, sightseeing,  or just to explore the great outdoors.  Once a year, we go to summer camp. It is the place for scouts to brush up their newly learned skills, earn merit badges, advance in rank, or just to meet new friends. There are many memories from Hi-sierra, Hawaii, and Wente. Our troop took Amtrak to Oregon for summer camp in 2010 and attended a summer camp in Maui in 2007. Every year, in the middle of winter, the scouts prepare for snow camping and head out to Bear Paw. There they learn to camp, cook, and cold weather survival skills while having fun building snow caves and participating in other cold weather events. Ski trip in March are many scouts’ favorite.
